This game is directed by Shuuhou Imai who is well known for Tokyo Majin Gakuen, produced by Tomio Kanazawa (Deadly Premonition), and character designs by Chinatsu Kurahana (Uta no Prince-sama). The opening song was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, while the music is handled by the Key Project.
The game is divided into 13 episodes which are each divided into sections adventure and battle. Part adventure using Live Motion Effect system which makes 2D characters look alive, while the fight scenes using 3D. The first episode takes place in Kurenai Academy High School is located in Shinjuku.
Tokyo Twilight Ghosthunters itself was released in Japan on April 2014.
